STORY SYNOPSIS

This is a story about a mysterious man called The Sorcerer Knight. He is a magical knight in a the world where people are afraid of magic and using it is considered a great sin. In the Zaven kingdom its ruler Queen Zaven created the anti magic laws and now The Sorcerer Knight hides his true self from the world which has resulted in him living in fear.

His ultimate goal is to destroy every demon and to get vengeance for what they've taken from him. His current objective is to reach the capital city of the Zaven kingdom called Whitehaven and on his travels he comes across a trading town called Flatwall. The town has a group of law enforcement knights called the Enforcer knights who The Sorcerer Knight is trying to avoid at all costs.

Among these Enforcer Knights is a woman called Alena. Her goal is to become someone who can be a strong shield that protects everyone while also giving people hope in situations that seem hopeless. The Sorcerer Knight and Alena are on opposite sides of the law but soon their paths will collide when the unexpected happens.

They will have to overcome a great darkness that will descend upon them, A demonic beast has come to destroy the town and they need to work together to defeat it. The Sorcerer Knight will be forced to face his past, overcome his fears and embrace his true self. If he fails everything will be destroyed, the people of Flatwall are depending on him and his magical ability's for their survival.

THE THEMES

The themes of this story are about bravery, acceptance and overcoming your fears. I'm sure we've all felt afraid to be ourselves at times and have struggled to overcome that fear. But its possible I speak from experience and I wanted to write a story that ultimately shows everyone is capable of having the bravery to overcome your fears and find acceptance. Even though some people might hate you there are people that will accept you for who you are. This is why I chose these themes I wanted the characters to have something we can relate too.

THE SORCERER KNIGHT

The Sorcerer Knight is a special kind of knight because he uses magic, however under the laws of Queen Zaven ruler of the Zaven Kingdom the use of magic is illegal and punishable by death. After suffering a great tragedy he's become a man who has been living in fear. He decided to isolate himself because he feels like he cant be himself and everyone is afraid of magic.

He is lost, consumed by vengeance and the emptiness he feels. So he travels the land in search of demons, he wants revenge for what he's lost and he has no other reason for living so his mission is wipe out every demon. Despite this the light that once burned bright inside is still there, he has the heart of a hero he just needs to find it again.

ALENA

Alena is a knight who serves the Zaven Kingdom. There are different factions of knights in the Kingdom of Zaven and Alena is a part of the enforcer knights who are similar to police in the real world. She joined because she wants to protect people but she quickly realised it wasn't what she thought. The enforcer knights are lazy and easily corrupted and Alena wants to change that.

She has a heart of gold and everyone in the town likes and respects her. She's the only one who's down to earth and has positive interactions with the towns people. Despite the Queen making it acceptable for women to be Knights, people like the Sergeant Alena serves act like they are superior to her with some believing the Queen made a mistake. She won't let this stop her from achieving her goals to become a great knight and a shield that protects people.

BLITZ

Blitz is the main villain of the story, he is not a man but a demon from the underworld as evil as they come. There are many different races among the demons and his race are called thunder beasts. These are powerful demons who are over 10ft tall and use magic which is a type of dark magic that is associated with thunder and lightning called Storm Magic. His motives are simple: he loves to fight and he wants to destroy everything in his path simply because he can.

He loves himself too much and thinks he is extremly handsome. He feels a lot of satisfaction and ecstasy when he kills humans, he also considers them to be his food. He is truly an evil beast with no kindness or remorse in his heart. The idea for Blitz was for him to be a simple villain with no sympathetic backstory just a straight up bad guy who you think is cool but still want him to lose because he's the worst.

SERGEANT ROLLAND

Rolland is not a villain like Blitz, he isn't an evil guy however he is still a bad person and to put it bluntly a piece of shit which is why he's an antagonist. He is an enforcer Knight like Alena however he is a sergeant and is in charge of this group of enforcers who are based at Flatwall. He is an ignorant and corrupt man, he is motivated by his own greed and desire for power and wealth. He would risk the lives of his knights if he benefited from it.

His goal is to climb the ranks, he wants to be a Captain and he'll do whatever it takes to achieve that goal. He also has some backwards views thinking women shouldn't be knights which is another reason why he's a piece of shit. I wanted him to represent the worst kind of knight someone who doesn't put people first but their own careers.

LIZ

Liz is the daughter of a trader who owns a stall in the marketplace. Liz is an innocent and kind girl who gets roped into all the chaos that the villain Blitz brings to her town. She might be in a terrifying situation but she's determined to be brave and someone people can rely on.

WALTER

Walter is the father of Liz and he is a humble trader who makes his living by running a stall in the marketplace. He is very respected in the town and is popular with travellers who come into town. His priorities are what's best for his daughter and what's best for the town, they are all a closely connected community.
